Meryl in Serra MesaIt’s me Meryl, (yes it’s my real name on my birth certificate!)

For more than a dozen years lived in Oregon and loved the summers, hiking, camping, swimming in rivers and the whole vibe and lifestyle. Realized I needed a change, discovered San Diego and relocated ! I’m actually amazed I’m still here!

I recall my first January, basking in the sunshine in beautiful Del Mar and feeling warm and happy.  Once I’d fled the City of Angel’s, hadn’t considered moving back to California.

San Diego in the mid 1980’s still had small town charm and was a little provincial. It had a lazy, laid back, intimate vibe which has become lost with development and population growth.

Now with the super hot summers I wonder if I can escape the hot months next year somewhere beautiful, fresh and well cooler! The idea of dressing for cooler weather seems appealing. Cool nights for sleep; delicious. Guess we’re never satisfied!

Next year I’m thinking of a summer getaway. Say June through September. Options include The Rockies; San Juan Islands, The northwest, Alaska; see what develops.

I want to write more and more and I can always look for some Web Copy Writing Gigs. Considering ideas for serious e-commerce site. Maybe an e-book or videos and blog radio will be in the works.

Plan to continue to write, create and build this site. It’s a labor of love and a bit of a struggle, (understatement) considering my lack of knowledge in programming, web design, graphics, etc. So many Blogger’s say they’re a web designer, etc., I guess I should feel overwhelmed and discouraged.

All I can do is to keep on going, learning, researching, reading and practicing and take a class or two. Developing this site is a never ending source of interest to me and every day I wonder what I can do to tweak it, and move it along. I think up new posts; new things to do, it’s fun, tiring, exhilarating and an adventure!

Sometime I may get more personal and give you more “in depth history” like when I was married to the “artist” how I overcame and amin the process of overcoming my dysfunctional family dynamics, and all the juicy stuff.
